Vincent High School student Donkeise Caldwell, 15, passed away after being hit by a car on Friday morning.
The accident occurred near 91st and Good Hope Road, close to Caldwell’s school.

Caldwell stopped by Walgreens to buy a Gatorade on his way to school and was hit by a car while crossing the street.
He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
The community is mourning Caldwell’s tragic passing, with many of his friends visiting the memorial near the scene of the accident.
Jake Mayes, a friend, and classmate remembers Caldwell as someone who loved basketball and blue Gatorade.
Investigations are still ongoing into the cause of the accident. Caldwell’s mother, Marquisha Green, received a call about her son’s accident and passing.
