Brie Larson’s parents are Heather Desaulniers (Edwards) and Sylvain Desaulniers. She has a sibling, Raya Milaine Desaulniers, and her grandparents are Aurèle Desaulniers and Gabrielle Marie-Therese (Chatelain) Desaulniers, who were French Canadians from Winnipeg.

Her maternal family is based in California, and her mother has English, Swedish, German, Welsh, and Scottish ancestry.
