Helen, who was born in October 1942, passed away on May 2, 2023, marking the end of a 57-year-long marriage.

Palin and Helen were blessed with three children, Thomas (born 1969), William (born 1971), and Rachel (born 1975), and four grandchildren. Rachel, who is one of the couple’s children, is a BBC TV director who has directed shows like MasterChef: The Professionals, among others.

William, on the other hand, is the Director of Conservation at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London.
