Tish Cyrus, the mother of pop stars Miley and Noah Cyrus, is engaged again. The lucky man is British-Australian actor Dominic Purcell, best known for his roles in “Prison Break,” “Equilibrium” and “Assault on Wall Street.”
Tish Cyrus announced her engagement to Purcell on Instagram last Saturday, sharing a pair of photos of the happy couple.
In the first photo, we see a close-up of Tish’s square-cut engagement ring, and in the second photo, the couple is wrapped in a loving embrace.
In response to Tish’s post, Purcell also shared a photo of the couple on his Instagram account and wrote a sweet message about his fiancé: “Punching way above my weight – yep absolutely, I’m a lucky bastard. She’s the best human ever. Love ya love.”
This will be Tish Cyrus’ third marriage, having previously been married to Baxter Neal Helson from 1986-1989 and then Billy Ray Cyrus in 1993.
Tish and Billy Ray have five children together: Brandi, Trace, Miley, Braison, and Noah. Brandi and Trace are Tish’s children from her previous marriage to Helson, but Billy Ray adopted them.
Tish filed for divorce from Billy Ray in April 2022, citing irreconcilable differences, and stating that the couple had not been living together for more than two years.
This was not the first time that the couple had attempted to divorce, with Billy Ray filing a petition in 2010, and Tish filing for divorce herself in 2013.
The couple said that “after 30 years, five amazing children and a lifetime of memories, we have decided to go our separate ways — not with sadness, but with love in our hearts. We have grown up together, raised a family we can be so proud of, and it is now time to create our own paths.
