Michael Allen, “Gentle Giant” Rugby Player Stabbed To In Eclipse Nightclub

The rugby community is mourning the loss of Michael Allen, a 33-year-old rugby player who was stabbed to death outside Eclipse nightclub in Bodmin, Cornwall.

Seven other men and women were injured in the attack but none of their injuries are life-threatening.

The police have arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Michael Allen died from injuries he sustained from the knife attack, investigation may provide more information on how exactly “gentle giant” died.

Michael Allen was known to friends as Mike, and his friends and family are devastated by his death.

His friend, Mike Gower, described him as a “gentle giant” and a “nice sound bloke.” His cousin, Alex Rhodes, said that he was the kindest, most gentle man and that he will be greatly missed.

Another friend, Chris Rich, said that he was always such a lovely guy and that no one should have to worry about going out and something like this happening. Nikki Smith expressed her sadness at the news and extended her condolences to Michael’s family and friends.

Detective Inspector Ilona Rosson described the tragedy as an isolated incident and urged people not to speculate on social media.

She asked anyone with information to come forward to assist the investigation. The East Cornwall Local Policing Superintendent, Rob Youngman, said that the investigation was in its early stages, and there would be a heightened police presence in the area while investigations continue.

He urged anyone with relevant dash-cam, mobile/video phone, or CCTV footage to come forward to assist the investigation.
