Popular Chef Jock Zonfrillo Dead At 46

Jock Zonfrillo, a famous Scottish-born chef who worked at the much-awarded Orana restaurant in South Australia, passed away in Melbourne.

He was 46 years old. In 2019, he joined Channel 10’s MasterChef program for the 2020 season, alongside Melissa Leong and Andy Allen.

Channel 10 released a statement on the same day that the MasterChef program was set to air its 2023 season, confirming the news of Zonfrillo’s passing. As a result, the series has been postponed for this week.

Zonfrillo‘s family issued a statement expressing their devastation over his death. They said that they were unable to put into words the many stories and descriptions that could define Jock.

There is not official information from his family on his cause of death or circumstances leading to his death.

They requested privacy to grieve and celebrate the memory of their irreplaceable husband, father, brother, son, and friend.

They also asked that those who knew him keep him in their hearts and memories.

Jock Zonfrillo is survived by his wife Lauren and his children.
