Severance Season 2 has been officially green-lit by Apple TV+. The show is a thought-provoking series created by Ben Stiller, which premiered in February 2022.
The story combines a dystopian thriller with heart-aching drama. The show leaves viewers eagerly waiting for the second season after the finale’s cliff-hanger.
Severance Season 2 release date
At present, there is no official release date for Severance Season 2. The production of the show’s second season has not yet started, and a late 2023 or early 2024 release is anticipated.
However, reports from April 28, 2023, indicate that the second season could be delayed due to a falling out between showrunners Dan Erickson and Mark Friedman. Additionally, script rewrites and the high cost of episodes could cause further production delays.

As of now, there is no trailer for Severance Season 2, and the writing for the second season has only just started, according to showrunner Dan Erickson.

Severance Season 2 cast
Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger, and we can expect the return of most, if not all, of the Severance cast, including Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, John Turturro, Patricia Arquette, Tramell Tillman, Dichen Lachman, Christopher Walken, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, and Michael Siberry.
Although Yul Vazquez’s character, Peter “Petey” Kilmer, passed away in Season 1, it is unclear if he will appear in flashbacks in Season 2.
Several new additions to the cast were announced in October 2022, including Gwendoline Christie, John Noble, Alia Shawkat, and Merritt Wever.
Others include Bob Balaban, Aasif Mandvi, and Nicole Ari Parker.
