Hairstylist Theresa Boylan Dead After Battle with Cancer at Age 48

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ – Theresa Boylan, a beloved hairstylist at Hair Designs by Kim in Hackettstown, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, April 27th, 2023 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Boylan was only 48 years old at the time of her passing, leaving behind her husband David, her children Jack and Ava, her parents, and her siblings.

Boylan was a valued member of her community, volunteering for the soccer club and serving as President of the Great Meadows PTO.

She was known for her warm smile and her commitment to her clients, always going above and beyond to ensure that they looked and felt their best.

In an effort to support Boylan and her family during her illness, Kerrie Sherwood launched a GoFundMe campaign on April 20th, 2023.

The campaign aimed to raise $50,000 to assist with Boylan’s medical expenses and other costs associated with her illness.

As of the time of writing, the campaign has collected $39,495 from 392 different donors.

Boylan’s family has expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support from the community.

In a statement released through the GoFundMe campaign, they said, “We are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of everyone who has contributed to the campaign. Your support has made a difficult time a little bit easier for us.”

Funeral services for Boylan will be held on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023 at Cochran Funeral Home in Hackettstown, New Jersey.

The service will be officiated by Pastor Bart Young, and Boylan will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery following the service.

Visitation will be held at Cochran Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.

Boylan’s family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, where Boylan received care during her illness.

Boylan’s passing has been deeply felt by the community, with many taking to social media to express their condolences and share memories of Boylan’s kindness and generosity. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
