Colin Desmond Thomas Identified as Victim of Tobermore Concrete Accident

Colin Desmond Thomas has been identified as the victim of a tragic accident at Tobermore Concrete.

The accident was reported to officials and responders were dispatched to the scene on Lisnamuck Road at 1:29 a.m. Local authorities have confirmed the identity of the deceased as Colin Desmond Thomas.


Colin Desmond Thomas Cause Of Death

According to a death notice filed by D Watters Funeral Services, Colin Desmond Thomas died suddenly as a result of the tragic accident.

He was the son of the late Desmond and Sandra and a beloved brother of Michael and his wife Heather and of Sarah and her husband Ronnie. He was also a devoted husband to his wife Karen.

Emergency medical personnel from Northern Ireland’s Ambulance Service (NIAS) responded to the incident.

NIAS dispatched two ambulances to the scene. The PSNI and Health and Safety Executive are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. At this time, the man’s death is not believed to be suspicious.

Tobermore Concrete released a statement expressing their devastation at the loss of one of their employees.

The company is providing counseling services for its personnel and has made the health and safety of its staff its first priority. Authorities are assisting with the ongoing investigation.

Ian Brown, an Ulster Unionist who represents Magherafelt, expressed his condolences and prayers for the family and friends of Colin Desmond Thomas. Anne Forde, a DUP local election candidate, believed that Mr. Thomas was from Tobermore.
