The bodies of two men were found in a state that their parents describe as “shredded like trash” at JMK Fibers Recycling Center in Tacoma, Washington.
The corpses were discovered within a week of each other. One of the bodies was identified as Zack Hillis, who suffered from fentanyl addiction and schizophrenia.
Zack’s father, Stacey, said that the body was in such a condition that they could not attend their son’s viewing.
Jeremy Lindsay, 36, was identified as the other body found in the recycling center.
Lindsay’s father and wife fear that he may have been alive when he was placed in the recycling center machinery.
The bodies were only identified through their fingerprints due to the condition they were in.
Zack Hillis and Jeremy Lindsay Cause of Death
The families of the deceased believe that the two men may have met in prison.
Zack’s father expressed his opinion that his son didn’t die alone and that the two had met while they were incarcerated.
A GoFundMe was created to raise funds for Lindsay’s funeral and burial.
According to Tacoma Police, there is no indication of foul play.
Investigations are still ongoing, and the medical examiner’s final cause of death report has yet to be released.
The recycling center has stated that neither incident involved their employees or persons working at their facility.
The company immediately stopped operations, instructed employees to leave the area, and cooperated fully with the authorities during the investigation.
The families of the two men are devastated by their loss.
The circumstances surrounding their deaths are tragic and have left their loved ones with many unanswered questions.
