Taylor Swift’s fan community is mourning the loss of Jacob Lewis, a 20-year-old Swiftie who passed away on April 22 after being hit by a drunk driver while leaving a Taylor Swift concert in Houston, Texas.

Lewis was driving his Buick LaCrosse on South U.S. Highway 59 around 1:15 a.m. with his sister April Bancroft when their car broke down.
When he got out to push the vehicle, he was hit by a Volkswagen Beetle driven by Alan Bryant Hayes.
Lewis died at the scene. Hayes initially stopped and helped pull Jacob from under his car but then fled the scene.
Hayes was later apprehended and charged with a DWI, as well as failure to stop and render aid. Harris County police have not yet provided lawyer information for Hayes.
