Rumer Willis, the 34-year-old actress and daughter of Hollywood icons Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, has announced the arrival of her baby girl.
In an Instagram post shared on April 21, Willis revealed that she gave birth to her daughter, Louetta Isley Thomas Willis, at home on April 19.
She described her newborn as “pure magic.”
Willis and her husband, Derek Richard Thomas, welcomed their first child together.
In an interview with People earlier this month, Willis expressed her excitement about becoming a mother and bringing the first grandchild into their big family.
“My parents are so excited. My sisters are so excited, and it’s so fun to be bringing in the first grandkid in our family, especially because we’re such a huge group at this point,” she said.
The news of the birth comes a month after Bruce Willis’ 68th birthday, with wife Emma Heming Willis sharing an update on the Die Hard actor’s health.
In a video shared on her Instagram, Heming Willis spoke about her husband’s battle with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, which was announced by the family in February.
“Sometimes in our lives, we have to put our big girl panties on and get to it, and that’s what I’m doing. But I do have times of sadness every day, grief every day, and I’m really feeling it today on his birthday,” she said.
Willis’ fans and followers flooded her Instagram post with congratulatory messages and well wishes for the new mother and her family.
