Singer Lilian Day Jackson, known from the Dutch disco band Spargo, passed away yesterday at the age of 63.
Her daughter Bemshi de Visser said this in a message on Facebook.
The singer’s daughter announced the news via Facebook. “It is with great sadness and pain that I have to say that my beautiful mother passed away yesterday on April 24.
She left peacefully with her family around her,” she writes.
The American Jackson became known in the 1980s as the singer of Spargo. The song You and me made it to number 1 in the Dutch hit list in 1980.
The band scored five top-10 hits in the Dutch Top 40.

Last month, De Visser reported on social media that her mother was terminally ill and she organized a collection for her funeral. It raised more than 12,500 euros.
