Sue Gove was appointed as the President and CEO of Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. in October 2022, after serving as the Interim CEO since June 2022.
She also continues to serve as a Director of the Company since May 2019.
In her role as the CEO, Sue implemented a turnaround plan to position Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. for success in the Home, Baby, and Wellness categories.

Sue Gove has over 30 years of experience in the retail industry, where she has held various senior financial, operating, and strategic roles.
Previously, she was the President and CEO of Golfsmith International Holdings and the Chief Operating Officer of Zale Corporation.
She has also served as a Senior Advisor for Alvarez & Marsal, a global professional services firm, and as the President of Excelsior Advisors, LLC, a retail consulting and advisory firm founded in August 2014.
During her tenure as a Board member of Bed Bath & Beyond Inc., Sue served on the Audit Committee, Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, and was Chair of the Board’s Strategy Committee.
In 2023, Bed Bath & Beyond filed for Bankruptcy, according to CNN, the company plans to liquidate all inventory and go out of business.
