On January 17, 2012, the world lost a beloved figure as Matt Bolton, a 52-year-old man from New Zealand, passed away.
Born on December 3, 1959, in Bremen to his late parents, Ronald Kent Bolton and Mary Ann (Knoblock) Bolton, Matt had a successful life before his untimely death.

Matt’s journey began in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he completed his high school education at Snider High School. He then went on to pursue a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Indiana University in 1982, and he successfully passed the CPA test, showcasing his dedication and intelligence.
Matt’s professional career was diverse and impressive. He worked in oil and gas revenue accounting for ARCO and TXO for eight years before transitioning to pharmaceutical sales in 1990.
He had a successful career at G. D. Searle and later retired from Merck as a business manager, leaving a mark in the corporate world.
Matt was also known for his love for nature and adventure. He married Karen Dombroski on November 3, 1984, and together, they embarked on numerous vacations to major national parks in the United States and Canada, including Alaska, Hawaii, British Columbia, and Alberta. Matt was an avid hiker and a published author, having written nonfiction works titled “The Concise Visitors Guide to Yosemite” (2009) and “The Concise Visitors Guide to Yellowstone” (2010).
In addition to his love for nature, Matt was also a motorsports enthusiast, with a particular passion for Indy Car and NASCAR. He cherished spending time with his family and watching his children, Brent and Morgan, participate in various sporting activities.
Matt Bolton’s passing is a tragic loss for his family, friends, and the community. He will be remembered for his accomplishments, his love for nature and motorsports, and his devotion to his family.
